Decades of traffic had left the slab discoloured, panels breaking apart at the joints and the apron crumbling where it met the street.
What we did
The whole driveway was broken out and the sub base cut back and regraded to a clean sand grade. Forms were set the full length before the trucks arrived so the pour could run without stopping.
The finish
Screeded flat between the forms, bull floated, then hand troweled and broomed off a kneeling board. Control joints were cut at even spacing to keep the panel sizes consistent.
