The job

How it was built

The problem

Old concrete strips down the side of the house had cracked, settled and started collecting water. Water sitting against a foundation is the sort of problem that only gets more expensive the longer it is left.

What we did

Access was tight, so the old concrete came out by machine at the open end and by hand along the fence. We dug the base out, re-cut the fall so water runs away from the house, and compacted it back.

The finish

Concrete was placed by chute and power buggy where the truck could not reach, then screeded and broom finished. The new section ties into the existing driveway with a clean joint.
